The trenching stage
The first step in laying fibre optic cable is careful ground work. Two trench diggers have been busy at the village for the past three days. They were preparing the way for the cable layers to connect the three village buildings to each other and to the main building. Also, at this time, a switch is being configured to ensure isolation of the Videoconferencing traffic from our server.
STAGE TWO. The trenchdiggers have been at KDEC for the past three days preparing the way for the cable layers. This will connect the three village buildings to eachother and to the main cable int KDEC. The switch to separate Videoconferencing traffic from our server is being configured at this time.

Stage one, a connection trial, is almost ready to start. Two sites are being prepared to allow trialling of two possible types of transmission between each other a) Wireless and b) ADSL. The CPE aerials have been installed, Cisco routers configured and currently, some fibre optic cabling is being laid.
